If you were ordering this instrument today you'd be waiting nearly a year for delivery (Dan builds his guitars entirely by hand and on his own) and paying more than $6,500.00 for this guitar. This is Dan's 7th guitar, completed in March of 2009, and since that time Koentopp Guitars has been gaining considerable momentum. Koentopp Guitars are now played by Andy Brown and Roddy Ellias, and have recently been the subject of a video documentary. Dan has written numerous articles about guitarbuilding and has even been a guest speaker at a midwestern university for music/business students.
The creation of this instrument was well documented in digital photographs which will be included along with a TKL Prestige Archtop Case and a vintage DeArmond soundhole pickup custom modified for this instrument.
