1999 Gibson Tal Farlow Archtop
Specifics: Maple top, back and sides, three-piece solid maple neck, solid rosewood fingerboard and compensated bridge, mother of pearl fingerboard and peghead inlay, triple bound body, bound headstock, fingerboard, pickguard and f-holes. Original nickel plated hardware includes twin PAF style humbucking pickups, Grover Rotomatic tuners and custom rosewood and pearl inlaid tailpiece; bound tortoise pickguard.
17" lower bout, 25 1/2" Scale length and 1 11/16" nut.
This guitar has beautiful flame maple and a perfect viceroy sunburst. It's in great condition, with perfect low action, and warm PAF style humbucking pickups.
This is a one-owner guitar, purchased new by Chicago jazz guitarist Andy Brown in 1999. He has played this guitar extensively at venues in Chicago, Cincinnati, and elsewhere. It's been used on his recordings and was even the guitar he brought on the Oprah show when he accompanied Barbara Streisand.
